It is written by a mother who has struggled through adjusting her family and children to her youngest daughter's life threatening allergy to eggs. She discusses how, before they found out about her allergy, she never gave a second thought to the kinds of products were put into the foods she fed her children. After doing research about what her children could and could not now eat, she discovered a whole range of ingredients, chemicals and additives in processed foods that not only contained allergens but were also potentially quite dangerous to children's health and development. She also discovered that many countries around the world have laws in place to protect children from these ingredients and the US is not one of them. We really need to be advocates for our health and for our children and speak out as consumers when we don't believe in a product.
